About diddi dance Wrexham&Whitchurch

*** with current advice from UK government we have postponed all of our classes until the coronavirus situation has changed. Please find us on facebook to keep up with our current news Many thanks ***

At diddi dance we realise and encourage endless enthusiasm and energy in an action packed, full of fun 45-minute dance class.
We also offer sessions within nursery and preschool settings AND parties! get in touch for more info :)

Classes are suitable for both boys and girls when they are steady on their feet, so to see if your toddler will enjoy it why not contact us today to book a free trial.

Parents and carers are encouraged to join in and share the enjoyment with their diddi dancer. Week after week you will soon see their confidence blossom. We do realise that some toddlers are more confident than others and this is why we offer a trial, so you can be confident it’s a class they’ll enjoy. Bookings are then taken in half term blocks instead of having to book for a whole term.

Dancing for the under 5s is not only a great way of keeping fit and active, but it’s also great fun! Dance isn’t just for girls!  Boys want to jump around to their favourite music just as much as their female friends.  He may not want to be a ballerina or fairy but give him a toy guitar and he’s a rock and roll star!  Plus boys need tiring out just as much, if not more than girls and what better way to do this than 45 minutes of jumping, turning, galloping, moving and shaking?

With obesity rates in under 5’s at their highest right now exercise is so important to avoid this continuing into later life.  Exercise should be enjoyed.  In the first few years of every child’s life how they view exercise is instilled and their view will stay with them for life so teach them that it can be great fun.  Dance is an ideal way of doing this.  The session should be action packed and full of exciting props and catchy music so they can’t resist getting up to join in.

All diddi dance teachers are all fully enhanced DBS checked and are trained in the diddi dance way. We are also proud to be fully accredited by the Exercise Movement and Dance Partnership as well as the Children’s Activities Association – giving parents peace of mind – and our training process is endorsed by the EMD Academy.

Customer Reviews

“It’s been lovely seeing how Hannah has grown more confident since we started going to diddi dance, she’s gone from being stuck on my hip to actually sitting and listening, getting involved with the class and doing the dancing. The class itself is really varied, the favourite bit is when the teacher gets out the props which are hoops, then ribbons, then something else from her magic bag that changes every week. And they’re learning loads like colours and numbers, even how to count in French! Hannah re-enacts it all at home with me and her parents, she loves it, and I love the teacher, she’s full of energy and really good with the children.”

“We have great fun at diddi dance each week.  My daughter knows all the moves and practices them at home, and she can even count up to 10 in English, French and Spanish because of one of the songs we sing together at the class – a great party trick for a 2-year-old!”

“diddi dance has made a real difference to our setting. The children have loved every session and parents have spoken about how enthusiastic they are at home. The children’s listening and rhythmic skills have also improved greatly. The sessions have provided staff with new ideas and skills to develop their teaching. All the children are involved and engaged and even some of the children with low self-esteem have grown in confidence after each session. We thoroughly recommend diddi dance in all settings.” – Jo Proctor, Discovery Primary School

“This was the 3rd dance group my 2-year-old has attended and this was the first one she seemed to be interested in. The teacher had so much energy and kept the children busy. All props used were great to get the children involved. Would definitely recommend and look forward to some more diddi dance lessons. thank you.”
